City Council Executive Session
December 6, 2004
The Mt. Vernon City Council met in Executive Session on Monday, December 6, 2004 at 7:45 p.m. in the Park Office at Veterans Park.
Present were: Mayor Milton R. Sees, Council Member Ricky D. Heck, Council Member John Howard, Council Member David E. Keen, Council Member Mike Walker, City Manager Roy L. Payne, City Clerk Jackie Sharp, City Attorney David R. Leggans, and Assistant City Manager Mary Ellen Futransky.
Discussion was held regarding certain businesses that are not in compliance with vehicle storage regulations in the City. Some of the businesses are automotive repair shops, towing businesses, automotive body shops. Some of the businesses are also not in zoning compliance also. All of the businesses need to clean up around their shops.
Council discussed how to proceed to achieve the goals. Discussion was held regarding issuing a letter to all of the businesses notifying them of the violations.
Council returned to Regular Session at 8:16 p.m.
