City Council Executive Session
March 15, 2004
The Mt. Vernon City Council met in Executive Session at 7:42 p.m. in the Park Office at Veterans Park.
Present were: Council Member Ricky D. Heck, Council Member John Howard, Council Member David E. Keen, Council Member Milton R. Sees, Mayor Mark A. Terry. City Manager Roy L. Payne, City Clerk Jackie Sharp, Finance Director Merle Hollman, City Attorney David R. Leggans, Assistant City Manager Mary Ellen Futransky and Human Resource Director Mary Jo Pemberton.
The purpose of this meeting was for discussion of personnel.
Discussion was held regarding employee insurance and the availability of different plans for the employees and the costs for the plans.
Union negotiations were discussed. Discussion was held regarding the amounts of raises that could be given.
The hiring of an Assistant Police Chief was discussed.
Executive Session ended at 8:14 p.m.
