CITY COUNCIL EXECUTIVE SESSION
AUGUST 18, 2008
The Mt. Vernon City Council met in Executive Session on Monday, August 18, 2008, at 7:50 p.m. in the Office at the Community Building at Veterans Park.
Those in attendance were: Mayor Mary Jane Chesley, Council Member Mary Burgan, Council Member Shirilyn Holt, Council Member David Wood, City Attorney David R. Leggans, City Clerk Jackie Sharp, City Manager Ron Neibert, HR Director Mary Jo Pemberton and Attorney Jerry McDonald. Absent: Council Member Mike Walker.
Mayor Mary Jane Chesley called this Executive Session to order.
City Manager Ron Neibert stated that the purpose of this meeting was for discussion of Pending Litigation.
Attorney Jerry McDonald gave Council a report on a pending case and explained possible actions.
Council asked questions and discussed the case.
City Manager Ron Neibert spoke regarding another action that will be taken regarding personnel. Council discussed this issue.
Council returned to open session at 9:00 p.m.
