     Public Forum Rules of Participation
     Participants wishing to address the City Council on matters listed on the agenda or on any other matter   directly relevant to the business of the City of Mt. Vernon shall do so during the Public Participation         portion of the agenda. Each person wishing to speak during the Public Participation portion shall sign a   Speaker’s List at the meeting prior to the start of the meeting providing his/her name and the topic to be discussed. Speakers will be recognized by the Mayor in the order the speaker’s name appears on the    Speaker’s List. Public participation portion of the meeting shall be limited to five (5) minutes per person.  All participants are expected to exercise common courtesy and follow any rules of order established or    announced by the Mayor and/or City Council.

    9-B    Street closure request – 10th Street between Newby Avenue and Cleveland Street on June 15,                2024, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. for the Juneteenth Parade
    9-C    Street closure request – 9th Street between Casey Avenue and Harrison Street on August 24,                  2024, from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. for the United Way Food Truck Fest
    9-D    Street closure request – 9th Street from Casey Avenue to Jordan Street on June 1, 2024, from 8              a.m. to 7 p.m. for the Mt. Vernon Brewers Festival

    9-J     Resolution requesting permission from IDOT for the temporary closure of State Route 15 and                  State Route 37 on September 28, 2024, from 12 pm – 4 pm for the Fall Fest Parade
    9-K    Resolution requesting permission from IDOT for the temporary closure of State Route 15 and                 State Route 37 on December 7, 2024, from 4:30 pm – 6 pm for the Christmas Parade
    9-L    Resolution requesting permission from IDOT for the temporary closure of State Route 15                          westbound from Marlow Rd. to the junction of State Route 15 and Old Route 15 at the east edge              of Mt. Vernon from 5 pm – 12 am on July 4, 2024, for the Salute to Freedom Fireworks Display
    9-M    Resolution requesting permission from IDOT for the temporary closure of State Route 37 on June             15, 2024, from 11:30 am – 2 pm for the Juneteenth Parade
