Invitation to Bid: Mt. Vernon Water Main Replacement Project

The City of Mt. Vernon is now accepting sealed bids for the Route 15 and S 45th Street Water Main Replacement Project.

Sealed bids will be received by the City Clerk at City Hall, Room 100, 1100 Main Street, Mt. Vernon, IL 62864, until 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, May 13, 2025. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at that time.

Bid packets and specifications may be obtained in person from the City Clerk’s Office or downloaded at mtvernon.com/bids.

The project includes:

• Installation of 265 feet of 10” PVC water main

• Installation of 110 feet of 16” steel casing

Please note: All bid envelopes must be plainly marked with the project title:
“ROUTE 15 & S. 45TH STREET WATER MAIN REPLACEMENT PROJECT”.

The City of Mt. Vernon reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids and may accept the bid most advantageous to the City. The successful bidder shall be an equal opportunity employer.
