The City of Mt. Vernon issues bids, requests for proposals (RFPs), and requests for qualifications (RFQs) for goods, services, and projects. These opportunities are open to qualified vendors and contractors who wish to do business with the City.

The items and services currently open for bidding are listed below. You may download the bid package directly or follow the instructions in the posting to obtain it.

The city of Mt. Vernon, Illinois, is seeking bids for installation of pickleball courts, tennis courts, and parking lots. All qualified contractors/vendors are invited to submit a sealed bid.

Submission Requirements

  • Sealed bids/proposals must be clearly marked on the outside of the envelope:

  • Deliver to:

  • Include all required forms and documentation. Incomplete submissions may be rejected.

General Terms

  • The City reserves the right to reject any or all {bids/Proposals}, or any part thereof.
  • All contracts for the construction of Public Works are subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/1-12).
  • The successful bidder shall comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws and must be an equal opportunity employer.

Submitting Responses

All submissions must follow the instructions in the bid or RFP packet, including deadlines, documentation, and delivery method. Late submissions cannot be accepted.
