Fire Hydrant Testing To Begin Next Week

The Mt. Vernon Fire Department will begin fire hydrant testing (weather permitting) next week, from Monday, June 1st, through Friday, June 5th.

Testing will primarily occur in the following areas:

• North and south of Broadway, between 45th Street and Shiloh Drive
• South of 45th Street, between Davidson Avenue and Sparrow Lane

Residents are cautioned that testing can cause discoloration in the water supply in the area being tested.
