Start or Stop Service

Use this page to request new water service when moving in, or to stop service when you move out.

Starting New Water Service

New water accounts must be opened in person at the Billing Services Office inside City Hall.

What to Bring:

  • A completed Water Service Request Form, this can be submitted online or downloaded and submitted in person.
  • A valid photo ID (driver’s license or state-issued ID)
  • Proof of residency (lease agreement or warranty deed)
  • A deposit:
    • $100.00 for residential service
    • For commercial service, the deposit amount depends on the size of the water meter

Included with Every Account:

  • Curbside garbage pickup
  • Recycling
  • Yard waste collection

Start Times:

  • Standard: Service begins the next business day
  • Same-day service: Available for a $150.00 fee
  • Tip: Submit your request at least 3 days in advance to avoid delays

Stopping Service

If you’re moving, you must cancel your water and sewer service. Billing will continue until service is shut off.

What you’ll need:

  • Contact the Billing Services at least 24 hours in advance
  • Provide your forwarding address for final billing
