Garbage

Requirements

All household garbage must be placed inside the blue refuse cart with the lid closed. Garbage that is not inside the cart or has the lid open will not be picked up.

Please place your cart at the curb by 6:00 a.m. on your collection day.
Carts must be removed from the curb within 24 hours after your pick-up.

Unacceptable Items

Some items are too dangerous to throw in the garbage because they can harm workers or the environment.
Do NOT put these items in your garbage cart:

• Batteries
• Paint
• Construction materials
• Medical waste
• Pesticides and poisons
• Automobile fluids like oil, anti freeze and gas

Larger Items

If you have large items that won’t fit in your garbage cart (like a mattress), you’ll need to schedule a Bulk Item Pick-Up.
